CEO West Bengal – Applying for Voter ID card in West Bengal is possible by visiting the website of Chief Electoral Officer in West Bengal. The link to the website is mentioned below and you can also find the link to the website with help of the search engine.

National Voter Services Portal – Once you are on the portal, you will have to go to the NVSP to move ahead with the application process. Scroll down to the CEO West Bengal Page and you will find the link for NVSP on the right-hand side of the page. Click on that link and you will now be taken to National Voter’s Services Portal. You can also access the portal directly by navigating to the NVSP link mentioned below.

Form 6 – On the NVSP, you can click on the link for the registration of the new voter and you will now have Form 6 displayed on the screen. Start filling in this form and the form just needs you to enter the basic personal details.

Required Documents – To support the details entered by you in Form 6, you also need to attach some of the documents with the form. The documents include an age proof and an address proof. Attach both these documents and also attach a recent passport size colored photo to move ahead with the process. You also have to select the documents corresponding to the place where you uploaded your proofs.

Submission of Form – After uploading the documents, you can submit the form but it is advisable for you to review the form before you submit the form. As soon as you submit the form, the system will generate an application number which can be used by you to track the application for your voter ID. You can track the application form with help of the status information tab on NVSP.

Receiving Voter ID – Once the form has been submitted, the officers will start verifying the details and they will also conduct a physical verification of the form. After all the verifications are successfully completed, the voter ID card will be issued and sent to you via Speed Post. It should be noted that the time takes by the complete process is around 60 days.

Step 1: Get an application form from the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your own constituency, or the Booth Level Officers of your polling station. This form is free of cost.

Step 3: Fill and submit the Form 6 along with the needed documents to the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your constituency or the Booth Level Officers of your polling station.

Step 4: After the successful form submission BLO will visit your residence address for verification purpose and then resubmit your details to CEO West Bengal.
