Here is How to Apply New Voter ID Card in Chandigarh Online

  • To apply for a voter ID card, you must start by visiting the official website of Chief Electoral Officer in Chandigarh. The web address for the portal is http://ceochandigarh.nic.in/
  • Once you navigate to the website, scroll down and find the options for Continuous Updation 2018. Under these options, you will find a link to Apply Online for the voter ID card.
  • This link will redirect you to a new portal which is the standard portal for applying for the voter ID Card. You can also access the portal directly by going to http://www.nvsp.in/
  • In the next step, you need to click on the registration button for the new voters. This will now take you to the Form 6.
  • This is now the most important part and in this step, you need to fill in the form 6 completely with the accurate information. Check twice for the typing errors. Also, attach the Age Proof, Photograph and Address Proof in the form by uploading the documents.
  • Once the form has been completely filled by you, click on the submit button at bottom of the page. The form has now been submitted and you will have an application number displayed to you.
  • The application number is quite useful in tracking the status of the voter ID card. Another point to pay attention to is that the officer from the Electoral Office would be visiting you at your residential address to verify the details before the Voter ID Card is issued to you by the concerned authority.

Step 4: After the successful form submission BLO will visit your residence address for verification purpose and then resubmit your details to CEO Chandigarh.
