Eligibility Criteria for Voter ID Card in Andhra Pradesh

Every Indian citizen who has attained the age of 18 years on the qualifying date i.e. first day of January of the year of revision of electoral roll, unless otherwise disqualified, is eligible to be registered as a voter in the roll of the part/polling area of the constituency where he is ordinarily resident.

Here is How to Apply New Voter ID Card in Andhra Pradesh Online

  • To start the application process, you have to visit the website of the chief electoral officer of Andhra Pradesh. The link to the website is http://ceoandhra.nic.in/home.aspx
  • Once the website is displayed, you can click on E-Registration from the top menu bar and a drop-down list will now be displayed.
  • From the drop-down list, select Assembly Constituency and another list will now be displayed. You can now select Form – 6 (New Enrollment) from the list and click on Link 1 or Link 2. You may access the form directly by clicking on the link below

  • You can also access the form 6 from the national voter’s services portal and the link the portal is nvps.in. On this website, you can click on the new registration link to access form 6.
  • Fill the form completely with the accurate details and attach the clear copy of the photograph, Address Proof and Age Proof from the list of documents mentioned in the applicable documents.
  • You must verify the details before submitting the form as it would not be possible for you to change the details of the form. After submitting the form, you will receive an application number which you must retain with yourself to track the status of your application.
  • After the submission, verifications at multiple levels will be carried out and in most of the cases; an officer pays up a visit to the residential address of the applicant. Post verification, the voter ID card is issued and it usually up to 2 months to get the voter card.

Here is How to Apply New Voter ID Card in Andhra Pradesh Offline

Step 1: Get an application form from the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your own constituency, or the Booth Level Officers of your polling station. This form is free of cost.

Step 2: Alternatively you can download the form from the website of the Election Commission here: Form 6

Step 3: Fill and submit the Form 6 along with the needed documents to the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your constituency or the Booth Level Officers of your polling station.

Step 4: After the successful form submission BLO will visit your residence address for verification purpose and then resubmit your details to CEO Andhra Pradesh.
